A Voice User Interface for Existing Enterprise Wide Mobile Applications

Automated Voice Operations

3 Step Voice Enabling Process

The Automated Voice Operations client solution, which resides on the mobile device of choice, provides all the necessary voice translation, operations and features (in tandem with the integrated voice model created by the RDE) to voice-control a mobile application.

The Automated Voice Operations (AVO) client solution orchestrates all of the voice operations beginning with the mobile worker's voice utterance into a headset or microphone. The AVO is comprise of a speech engine and all the operations and features to substitute voice for the existing keyboard, pull down menus or touch screen functions. The AVO in concert with the integrated voice model created by the Rapid Development Environment activates all the voice translation (TTS- text-to-speech and STT-speech-to-text) capabilities to operate the target mobile application.

AVO Features
Voice Prompting: voice-prompting alters the mobile worker as to where they are within the application, prompting for data entry, optional mobile application operations and function control

Voice Data Confirmation: an optional text-to-speech feature which allows the mobile worker hear the voice-directed data entered, before confirming and submitting the data.

Optional Voice Training: Is an optional feature to train the speech engine to recognize a particular mobile worker's voice and delivers yet another level of accuracy. The 'train me' feature prompts the user from while on the device, and in 30 seconds, creates a voice reference of the mobile user. Voice Training is not a standard requirement for MVP to achieve its high level of recognition accuracy. It's provided as a service for customers who want an additional safety net of accuracy for individuals with particularly heavy accents.
