Robert P. Bova, President and Chief Executive Officer
Bob has over 20 years experience successfully leading high technology organizations to surpass corporate goals with special competence in entrepreneurial, start-up, rapid growth, M & A and public companies; as a Director at U.S. Bank/Oliver Allen Corporation, created the Secure Networking Division and grew it to over $12 million in revenues within 2 years; in 1997, started the ISG division (SSL Technology) at Rainbow Technologies and grew it from zero to $56 million in revenues, in just over 3 years. Bob served as CEO and Vice Chairman of Enfotec, Inc., a worldwide provider of open system Internet security devices; Enfotec was acquired by Ariel Way Communications, a worldwide provider of secure communications; as a Director, Mr. Bova was on the M & A committee and managed the acquisition due diligence as well as co-authored the SB2 and took the company public. As EVP of Asita Technologies, was responsible for developing the worldwide sales, marketing, administration, support and finance infrastructures as well as raising $24 million in funding for the organization; established the organization in the Pacific Rim, Europe and North America. Mr. Bova holds an MBA in Marketing from National University and a BA from Syracuse University.
William Arthur, Ph.D. Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Arthur is directly responsible for designing and implementing significant elements of the AccuSpeechMobile voice technology. His professional career includes substantial experience in both the Text-to-Speech (TTS) and speech recognition disciplines; and was directly responsible for implementing the speech interfaces for the voice-activated VCOMMAND automobile navigation system. Dr. Arthur developed natural-voice TTS system currently being revised for use in a popular radio/ navigation module for a major automobile manufacturer; as Director of Engineering at Cendant Software, was responsible for the development and maintenance of all language-related software for the First Byte and Knowledge Adventure divisions, which included several popular Davidson & Associates educational products. This group successfully developed Speech Synthesis APIs and Toolkits for Windows, OS/2 and several telephony application environments including Creative Labs, Dialogic and Natural Microsystems. Dr. Arthur has a Ph.D. in Mathematics/Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, as well as an MA and BA from the University of Massachusetts.
Justin Foster, Director Software Engineering
Justin has over 10 years of experience in software engineering and design; as Director of Software Engineering, responsible for the review and approval of all technical voice designs; manages and coordinates engineering operations with other team members to ensure that architectural components meet specifications, integrate with existing systems and adhere to project schedules. Justin served as a senior software engineer for VaultStorm Corporation where he designed, developed and tested software for the embedded Linux storage device VaultStor DRV; in addition, apprenticed with Rod Corder, co-founder and vice president of engineering at New Media Corporation.
Dan Villanueva, Vice President, Marketing
Dan has served in the mobility and related information technology market in senior marketing roles since 1985. Has a broad base of marketing and communications skills, honed over 20 years in large systems technology, mobile and internet sectors; as our corporate marketing and communications executive, has lead the effort to crystallize Vangard's corporate identity, product and service positioning; has 15 years experience in managing large corporate communications organizations and 10 years as an independent consultant. Dan has served as a director and senior executive for companies such as Legent, Corporation, Sage Software, Software AG, iBrite and eStara.
Robert Perry, Director of Sale, West
Bob came to Vangard Voice after a long, distinguished career at Ryzex in Austin, Texas. His experience spans over 20 years in sales, marketing and customer responsiveness in the bar code scanning, RFiD software and hardware for mobile data collection and mobile inspections industries.
Chris Barnes, Director of Sales, East
Chris offers Vangard Voice customers and partners substantial experience in solution consulting, adoption support and customer service for implementations of mobile supply chain applications and systems. He's served in editorial roles in publications providing strategies for supply chain management and thought leadership on evolving WMS technologies including the adoption and implementation of voice technologies. Chris earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of West Florida and a Bachelor degree in Science in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University.
